SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach
SkyPier Terminal at HKIA provides transfer coach service for transfer passengers.
The SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Service connects passengers from Mainland China/Macao to HKIA and onward to over 200 worldwide destinations . The coach service operates at below land-based control points in the Greater Bay Area:
- Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Macao Port
- Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Zhuhai Port
Note: SkyPier Terminal is for transfer passengers only. It is not available to those originating from Hong Kong.

To & from Mainland China & Macao
To have a pleasant journey to and from the airport, we have put together some tips and suggestions for you.
- To Mainland China & Macao
Passengers who need to take a SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach to Mainland China or Macao should proceed to the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Ticketing Counter at Transfer Area E2, DO NOT go through immigration and reclaim your baggage. Passengers who have already gone through immigration procedures CANNOT return to the ticketing counter and use the transfer coach service.
To use the service, passengers must:
- Possess the following items:- Same day arrival flight air ticket/ e-ticket/ boarding pass stub- A valid transfer coach ticket- A valid passport and, if applicable, a visa for the intended destination (Mainland China/Macao)
- Transfer to Mainland China/Macao within the same day of arrival
- Arrive at the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Ticketing Counter located at Transfer Area E2 at least 60 minutes before the scheduled transfer coach departure time for ticketing and transfer prcedures. For passengers without checked baggage, 30 minutes would be sufficient;
- For passengers with checked baggage, please present the airline baggage tag receipt for customs clearance and baggage transfer procedures.
- From Mainland China & Macao
Travellers from the Mainland China and Macao can enjoy the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Service to HKIA.
To use the service, passengers must:
- Possess a valid transfer coach ticket
- Possess a confirmed same-day departure air ticket issued by one of the participating airlines
- Confirm in advance that they are able to enter their final destination and possess valid passport and visa for their intended destination/onward destination
- Minimum Connection Time
If you are transferring from Mainland China/Macao, please ensure that you have reserved sufficient time to complete the following procedures:
- Arriving at the land-based control points in Mainland China/Macao at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure time of the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach
- Allowing sufficient time for the journey on the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach.

- Baggage
Transfer coach hand baggage must not exceed 9” x 14” x 22”. For details about baggage regulations, please check with the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach operators or airlines.
Transfer coach passengers transferring at HKIA are only allowed to stay in the restricted area and cannot collect their bags from the non-restricted area.
Note: Passengers with self-printed boarding passes must obtain an official boarding pass from the SkyPier Terminal airline check-in counters upon arrival.

Upstream Check-in
Passengers on participating airlines can check their baggage, obtain boarding pass and apply for refund of the pre-paid Air Passenger Departure Tax Refund at the following Mainland China and Macao land-based control points:
- Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Macao Port
- Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port
Please arrive at the check-in counter at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time of your SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach.
To check in at upstream land-based control points, you must have:
- A valid transfer coach ticket
- A valid air ticket with a confirmed flight booking for same day travel (including mid-night departures)
- A valid travel document and entry/transit visa for your destination if required
Please reserve sufficient time for your connecting flight and arrive at SkyPier Terminal at least 90 minutes to 120 minutes* before your flight departure time.

The baggage tag through service directly sends baggage from Mainland China and Macao land-based control points to the final destination, providing passengers with a hassle-free journey. Air Passenger Departure Tax Refund
Passengers who arrive at HKIA by SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach for onward departure by air are exempted from the Air Passenger Departure Tax (APDT). A refund coupon will be issued to passengers with APDT paid with their air ticket during check-in at SkyPier Terminal or the Mainland China and Macao land-based control points. To collect your refund in cash, please present the coupon to the “Departure tax refund desk” at SkyPier Terminal after completing security screening on the same day.

- For eligible passengers without a refund coupon, you should apply for a refund through the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) of the HKSAR Government. Details are available on the CAD website.
- If you have a refund coupon but fail to claim or collect your refund at SkyPier Terminal, please contact your airline directly for refund.
