Steady progress on Tung Chung River revitalisation

Environmental NGO Green Power held its annual inter-departmental interflow webinar meeting of the In-To Tung Chung River Conservation project on 17 July. Funded by the HKIA Environmental Fund, the project aims to strengthen measures to conserve water quality and biodiversity in the Tung Chung River catchment area while supporting the government’s development of a new Tung Chung River Park within the Tung Chung New Town Extension.

During the meeting, stakeholders shared insights on promoting environmental conservation of Tung Chung River through eco-tourism development. The discussion also explored initiatives to capitalise on local natural resources, cultural heritage and cmmunity assets through the planning and creation of future Tung Chung River Park.
