Accolades on AA’s Syndicated Loan Facilities

The Airport Authority (AA)’s five-year HK$35 billion syndicated loan facilities were recognised as the “Airport Deal of the Year – Global” and “Airport Deal of the Year – Hong Kong” at The Asset Triple A Infrastructure Awards 2021.
The accolade commends AA’s strategic transaction to fund the expansion and construction of the Three-Runway System project at Hong Kong International Airport. The deal also marked the first Hong Kong corporate syndicated loan that is compliant with the Equator Principles, a risk management framework adopted by financial institutions for determining, assessing and managing environmental and social risks in projects.
The loan facilities previously won the “Best Investment Grade Syndicated Loan” at the GlobalCapital Asia Awards 2020 and the “Best Syndicated Loan” at The Asset Triple A Sustainable Capital Markets Regional Awards 2020.
