Tradeport Hong Kong echo World Environment Day

Tradeport Hong Kong marked World Environment Day 2026 with a meaningful celebration of “Climate Action” in partnership with Friends of the Earth (HK), encouraging greener habits across the airport community. As an on-airport logistics service centre at Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA), Tradeport brought sustainability to life through an engaging environmental initiative that sparked creativity and raised awareness on climate change.

A thoughtfully designed sustainability souvenir, “Turn Trash into Treasure” was a highlight of the event. Participants received bracelets with beads crafted from upcycled fruit peels by young underprivileged mothers. This initiative showcased how food waste can be transformed into valuable items while supporting livelihoods and promoting community resilience.

Participants also explored everyday eco-friendly choices, including washable lint rollers and biodegradable corn-based pens, to integrate sustainability into daily routines.
