On 16 March, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) organised a luncheon talk on climate change and welcomed the insights of Dr Xinning Zhang from Friends of the Earth (HK).
Climate change continues to pose growing environmental and operational challenges worldwide. Drawing on both global and local perspectives, Dr Zhang highlighted the rising frequency and severity of extreme weather events worldwide, as well as their potential impacts to Hong Kong. AAHK staff had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of climate-related risks, consider how these may affect their work, and to reflect on what actions can be taken to support climate mitigation and adaptation efforts.
