Recognising the importance of achieving Net Zero Carbon, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) continues to support its business partners (BPs) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) in strengthening their carbon capacity through HKIA Carbon Capacity Building Programme (CCBP).
In March this year, AAHK, with support from the Business Environment Council, organised and funded a Certified Carbon Auditor Training Course as part of the HKIA CCBP Phase 2 to strengthen the carbon auditing expertise of BPs. The course content was delivered by the Energy Institute and covered topics of climate change, carbon auditing, international carbon policies and energy management.
The course attracted 20 participants from 18 pledged BPs of the HKIA 2050 Net Zero Carbon Pledge. All participants successfully passed the examination and received accreditation, further building expertise in carbon management and auditing.
