A new chapter of HKIA CCBP

20  February  2026

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) launched its Phase 2 of Hong Kong International Airport Carbon Capacity Building Programme (HKIA CCBP) on 20 January, in partnership with Business Environment Council. This programme, first launched in 2022, aims to help the airport community develop the necessary skills and awareness to achieve decarbonisation goals through a range of events. Phase 2 of HKIA CCBP will further explore the skills and knowledge required to put decarbonisation principles into practice. It will also introduce annual accredited training courses to strengthen business partners’ capacity.

In the launch event, participants received updates of HKIA 2050 Net Zero Carbon Pledge, insights from 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference, and joined a sharing session on supply chain decarbonisation. They also participated in an interactive training workshop on Scope 3 emissions management, which was tailored to the diverse operational contexts of airport business partners and offered practical insights for managing value chain emissions.
