Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) released its annual Sustainability Report 2024/25 in August 2025, detailing its sustainability strategy and achievements of Hong Kong International Airport in the fiscal year ending 31 March 2025. The report showcases AAHK’s progress on 24 strategic goals across four sustainability pillars, namely Environmental Excellence, Operational Excellence, Thriving Economies and Societies, and Thriving People.
Key highlights include the commissioning of Three-Runway System that fosters sustainable socioeconomic growth in Hong Kong, AAHK’s support for the establishment of the 2,400-hectare North Lantau Marine Park, and the launch of world’s first Smartphone Express Bag Drop Service. This is also our first report applying double materiality principles and referencing International Sustainability Standards Board’s International Financial Reporting Standards S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and S2 Climate-related Disclosures.
AAHK also continues to incorporate green finance disclosure through the Sustainable Finance Transactions (SFT) Annual Report. Our strategy and ongoing efforts to mitigate climate change and enhance adaptation and resilience are communicated in our Climate-related Financial Disclosures Statement. Both are appended to the Sustainability Report.
