Clamping down on wildlife trafficking

Wildlife trafficking remains a pressing global concern. In December 2019, HKIA strengthened its commitment to tackling wildlife trafficking by signing the Buckingham Palace Declaration and becoming a member of the United for Wildlife Transport Taskforce.

The Airport Authority (AA) collaborated with relevant government authorities and NGOs to provide training to airport business partners and enforcement agencies in order to raise the awareness of this issue. The AA will also continue its efforts to raise public awareness through public displays and other publicity.
