At the Business Environment Council's (BEC) 'Stepping Up to the BEC Low-Carbon Charter: How to Set and Achieve Decarbonisation Targets' workshop on 20 September, experts and professionals gathered to discuss decarbonisation strategies. During the event, the Airport Authority (AA) shared its insights about its airport-wide carbon reduction programme. The programme aims to promote the reduction of HKIA's environmental footprint through close collaboration among its business partners. The AA's Manager, Environment Kristy Tan shared the evolution of the AA's target-setting approach and plans for setting a future longer term target. She also discussed the key drivers for setting carbon targets at the AA and the consultative process undertaken to achieve an airport-wide approach.
