(Hong Kong, 27 June 2025, 1800hrs) – Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Career Expo 2025, jointly hosted by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) and the Labour Department, has officially kicked off today. With over 3,000 job openings across approximately 40 companies from the airport community, this three-day event offers opportunities from a variety of sectors including inflight services, ground services, aircraft maintenance, airfreight, airport security, airport services, baggage handling, catering and more.

Mable Chan, Secretary for Transport and Logistics, and Vivian Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of AAHK, officiated at the opening ceremony of the three-day expo.

Vivian Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of AAHK, remarked at the event, “We are building an Airport City that combines aviation business, travel and tourism, logistics and trade, shopping, and entertainment, all at a location that easily connects to downtown Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and around the world. To achieve this, the airport community needs a strong talent pool. We strive to make careers at the airport attractive by prioritising continuous training and talent development while also valuing the well-being of staff. We remain confident in the future of Hong Kong aviation.”

Mable Chan, Secretary for Transport and Logistics, said, “Hong Kong is the world's leading international aviation hub. With the commissioning of the Three-runway System in November last year, the passenger traffic and cargo volumes at HKIA have been increasing steadily. Talent is the most important factor in supporting an international airport that operates 24-hour all year round. The Hong Kong SAR Government has been enhancing the training of the local aviation industry and nurturing new blood through the 'Maritime and Aviation Talent Fund' and Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, while encouraging the current practitioners to further their studies to meet the manpower needs of the aviation industry. I strongly encourage you all to join HKIA and become a part of what makes Hong Kong proud.”

AAHK is offering over 70 job openings in several areas, such as airfield operations, baggage handling, aviation logistics, electrical and mechanical, and systems engineering, information technology, and others. Meanwhile, AAHK will share information at the Expo about four of its talent development programmes, including the Management Trainee Programme, the Graduate Engineer Programme, the new IT Trainee Programme and the Summer Internship Programme, providing career insights and pathways for students and graduates. AAHK will also host dedicated career talks during the Expo to introduce these programmes and share interview information.

Throughout the event, airport companies will host 25 career talk sessions, providing insights into the latest industry employment trends, career planning advice and job interview skills. Participating companies may also conduct on-site job interviews. In addition, the Expo offers various free services for attendees including a CV clinic, CV portrait photography, personal colour analysis and MBTI testing.

Admission to the Expo is free, and members of the public are welcome to attend the event. More information about the Expo is available on its dedicated website at http://www.hkairportjobs.com/.
