Airport Authority Welcomes Board Appointments

(HONG KONG, 25 May 2018) – Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) today welcomes the re-appointment of Jack So Chak-kwong as the Chairman of the Board for a second term of three years by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The AA also welcomes the re-appointment of three current members and the appointment of two new members.

The reappointed members include Ir Billy Wong Wing-hoo and Dr Allan Zeman for a term of three years, and Anita Fung Yuen-mei for one year. The two new members are Linda Chan Ching-fan and Adrian Wong Koon-man, who will serve a three-year term. The terms are effective from 1 June 2018.

Mr So said, “It is my honour to be reappointed as Chairman of the Board. The next few years will be critical to the development of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as a series of strategic expansion and enhancement are underway, including the Three-runway System construction, SKYCITY, cargo development and smart airport initiatives. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area development will also bring immense opportunities to the airport. I firmly believe that with the guidance from the members of the Board and the collaborative effort of the airport community, HKIA will further strengthen its status as a leading international aviation hub.”

“I would also like to express my gratitude to our retiring member Andrew Fung Hau-chung for his support over the past years, and welcome the new members, who are all highly recognised leaders in their respective fields. As we celebrate the 20^th anniversary this year, I look forward to working with all Board members to lead the AA to reach new heights in the years to come,” added Mr So.
