Another celebration of this festive season was a dinner and fashion show held at Grappa's Italian Restaurant in the airport passenger terminal tonight. Dishes were served by four theme restaurants, including Grappa's, Cafe Deco, Champion's Sports Bar and A Hereford Beefstouw.
The restaurant was decorated in a East meets West theme, which echoed the positioning of Hong Kong SkyMart and featured the best of local and international brands.
The fashion show featured exclusive designs from four famous brands. Traditional clothing of the ethnic minority tribes of Southern China inspired Shanghai Tang's Autumn and Winter collection. The debut of Swatch's newly released Swatch Touch 2003 enticed guests to touch and have fun. Italian-Swiss designer Stefan Hagner's collection for Chow Sang Sang displayed a melange of astonishing designs and impeccable craftsmanship. Young, aspirant local designers from Chow Tai Fook portrayed the charisma of Hong Kong - the romance, glamour, artistic touch and natural charm - in a sensational collection.
Airport Authority Commercial Director Mr Hans Bakker said: "This Christmas is a very special one to all of us. Not only do we have a very rewarding joint promotion with Asia Miles and many unique special offers from our operators, we are very excited at the opening of another 15 brand boutiques in three days."
These are but a small part of the prestigious international and local brands which represents the global mix on offer at Hong Kong SkyMart, the epicentre for an exciting and fulfilling shopping and dining experience. It will house a collection of more than 200 shops and catering outlets when Hong Kong SkyMart East Hall expansion works is completed at the end of December.
