Development of Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Facility and Provision of Aircraft Base Maintenance or Related Services in Three Runway System (“3RS”) (AD/25-01/EOI )

Invitation for Expression of Interest for Development of Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Facility and Provision of Aircraft Base Maintenance or Related Services in the West Support Area (“WSA”) of the Hong Kong International Airport (“HKIA”). 

New business opportunity in 3RS 

Airport Authority Hong Kong (the “Authority”) is planning to develop an aircraft maintenance hangar facility (“Hangar”) in the WSA of 3RS to enhance aircraft maintenance capabilities at the HKIA. This strategic development will include the construction of the Hangar designated to support aircraft heavy maintenance, modification and repair and overhaul (“MRO”) for commercial aircrafts.

To maximize the Hangar utilization and capture emerging business opportunities, the Hangar may also support other related services / businesses to facilitate long-term aviation infrastructure development.

The Authority is assessing market interests for the development of the Hangar before proceeding with formal tendering process.  Interested Respondents are hereby invited to respond to this Invitation for Expression of Interest (“Invitation”):

1.    Submit their company name and contact person details (including name, position, phone number and email address) via email to WSAHANGAR@hkairport.com no later than 4:30 pm, 11 September 2025 (Hong Kong time).

2.    Receive the EOI documents through email and submit their response via email no later than 4:30 pm, 18 September 2025 (Hong Kong time).

Neither this Invitation nor any response/document(s) received will constitute or form part of any contract with the Authority or constitute any representation or warranty on the part of the Authority. All costs and expenses incurred for or in connection with any response to this Invitation, including the preparation and/or submission of the response, shall be entirely the sole responsibility of the Respondent without recourse to the Authority.
