Invitation to Tender - Provision of Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Services at HKIA (GSEM/22/01)

The Airport Authority ("the Authority") hereby invites capable companies to submit competitive tenders for the franchises to provide maintenance services for the Ground Services Equipment (GSE) at the Hong Kong International Airport ("the Airport").

There are currently more than 10,000 GSE operating at the airside of the Airport.  One of the essential services needed at the Airport is the provision of GSE maintenance services which include repair, maintenance and inspection of vehicles, powered and non-powered equipment of the Authority, ground handling service providers, air carriers and other airport users. 

Two separate sites are earmarked for GSE maintenance facility to be operated by two different GSE maintenance service providers. The Authority plans to enter into franchise agreements with two separate GSE maintenance service providers. For the first site, the franchisee will be required to design, construct, maintain and operate a new GSE maintenance facility whereas the franchisee of the second site will be required to accept the existing GSE maintenance facility in its current condition for the provision of GSE maintenance services.

Please send a cashier's order or crossed cheque of HK$30,000 made payable to "Airport Authority" as tender document fee (which will only be refunded to the prospective tenderer if a conforming tender is actually submitted) along with a written request on your company letterhead specifying the tender name, company name and contact details to:

Tender submissions in response to the invitation must be in compliance with the requirements set out in the tender documents and be submitted and deposited into the Authority's Tender Box as per the instructions set out in the Tender document, no later than 4:30 pm on 8 August 2022 (Monday) (Hong Kong time).

All costs and expenses incurred for or in connection with any response to this invitation, including the preparation and/ or submission of the tender, shall be entirely the responsibility of the applicants without recourse to the Authority. The Authority is not bound to accept the highest tender or any tender and reserves the right to negotiate with any Tenderer.
