AAHK receives industrial green recognition

On 24 April 2018, the Airport Authority (AA) received the Platinum Recognition in the "Over 35 million passengers per annum" category of the ACI Asia-Pacific Green Airports Recognition 2018. The awards acknowledge regional airports for their outstanding accomplishments in environmental projects.

This year, the theme of this award was "Waste Minimization". The AA's airport-wide programme - HKIA Environmental Management Recognition Scheme 2014-16 was being recognised. The AA engaged 42 retail and catering tenants to improve their waste management and other environmental management practices.
