Sustainability score soars

Airport Authority (AA)’s sustainability credentials were again honoured, when the organisation received a coveted “Low Risk” environmental, social and governance (ESG) rating with an advanced score of 10.3 from leading ESG research firm Sustainalytics. With lower scores indicating better performance, AA has shown an improvement compared to its previous year’s score of 10.8. Among the 86 airports evaluated, AA stands in the top four and maintained its position in the top three percent of companies globally for ESG performance.

The rating takes into account the way in which AA tackles a range of ESG challenges. It was specifically praised for its low overall exposure to material ESG issues. AA also demonstrated strong performance in areas such as Community Relations, Business Ethics, Corporate Governance, Emissions, Effluents and Waste.
