HKIA Environmental E-newsletter Issue 11

The Airport Authority (AA) released its HKIA Environmental E-newsletter Issue 11 in October 2022.
This issue starts with an editorial message from the AA’s General Manager, Sustainability, highlighting AAHK’s key sustainability achievements in building a more sustainable airport. In the “Spotlight” section, AA’s General Manager, Capital Works Construction, shares details on the green design of the newly opened HKIA Tower Two, which has been accredited a BEAM Plus New Buildings V1.2 Provisional Gold rating. The “Industry trends” features updates on the new Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) Standards, which will be effective in Jan 2023. Finally, the “What’s happening” section highlights key environmental events and initiatives at HKIA.
Launched in January 2020, the quarterly environmental e-newsletter namely “Towards the Greenest Airport” aims to make the airport community’s environmental efforts more visible. Each issue is filled with features which highlight industry trends, interviews and updates on the environmental aspects within HKIA, Hong Kong and globally.
