HAECO’s First Environment Week

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) held its first Environment Week from 27 November to 1 December 2023, with the aim of raising awareness and encouraging action on sustainability among HAECO staff.

Under the theme of 'The HAECO Green Story', the participants celebrated HAECO's environmental endeavours throughout the years while also looking ahead to future initiatives.

One of the event's highlights was The Christmas Bazaar, which collected over 1,000 second-hand items from colleagues. These items were given a second life through 'gift and take', promoting the concept of the reuse and fostering a sustainable lifestyle both at work and at home for HAECO staff. In addition, The Week included Green Facilities Walks at the hangars, a volunteer activity involving repackaging surplus food and workshops on upcycling.
