HAECO launches "beat plastic" campaign to promote green dining

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) set up a Beat Plastic #BYOB Booth on 26 February, to test colleagues' awareness of green dining and distribute reusable lunch boxes and cutleries. Over 300 HAECO staff were up for the challenge, committed to bringing the reusable items they won when buying takeaway food, minimising the amount of unnecessary waste to landfills.

HAECO is committed to minimising the potential environmental impacts created by their operations. To echo the control of disposable tableware to be implemented by the Environmental Protection Department on 22 April and spread the 'beat plastic' messages within the organisation, HAECO's canteens are already in the transition from plastic takeaway containers to compostable and sustainable ones. HAECO encourages their colleagues to cultivate eco-friendly habits - dine in more, BYOB and less takeaway - no matter at HAECO or home. Every effort counts.
