Electric Vehicle Efforts Rewarded

Airport Authority (AA) was honoured to receive the “Low Carbon Driving Award” at CLP Smart Energy Awards 2023. Organised by CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, the annual awards recognise organisations with outstanding performance in carbon and energy management.

AA was particularly commended for promoting the use of electric vehicles (EVs) and expanding the EV charging network. It has committed to increasing the number of EVs operating at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) to more than 3,000 by 2030, alongside the expansion of charging infrastructure to over 1,320 charging points. The implementation of smart-to-charge technology, which monitors battery charging conditions and intelligently allocates power to chargers, also ensures sufficient charging capacity for the expanding EV fleets at HKIA.

AA is dedicated to further exploring advanced EV charging solutions, as well as leveraging smart technology and big data analysis to increase maintenance efficiency and ensure the healthiness and reliability of its EV charging network.
