AA plays its part in Earth Hour

This year, the Airport Authority (AA) again supported the World Wide Fund for Nature’s (WWF) Earth Hour campaign, switching off all non-essential lighting in its office buildings, including HKIA Tower, HKIA Tower Two and HKIA Commercial Building, from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on 25 March. AA also encouraged its staff members to join the activity by signing up as individuals at WWF’s website, and turning off lights at home.

Earth Hour is one of the largest global environmental initiatives. Originating in Sydney in 2007, it encourages people to reduce their energy use and cut carbon emissions by switching off their lights for an hour. The campaign also raises awareness of the importance of continued efforts for a sustainable future.
