MyTAG Pro is a smart baggage device which can track your baggage and provide real-time notifications through My HKG app. For check-in baggage only.

Utilising Sigfox technology, MyTAG Pro covers flights between Hong Kong International Airport and the following airports with Sigfox network as of June 2023. Coverage of airports may be amended by Sigfox without prior notice.

To switch on the MyTAG Pro, simply press and hold the power button for three seconds until the green LED flashes.
To switch off the MyTAG Pro, press and hold the power button for three seconds until the red LED is on.

Please follow the below steps:

  • Click the “Baggage Tag” icon on the top of My HKG app’s main page
  • Click the “Register" button to register your MyTAG Pro with your email address
  • Ensure your mobile Bluetooth is turned on for connection
  • To switch on your MyTAG Pro, simply press and hold the power button until the green LED flashes
  • Next step is to turn on the Bluetooth of your MyTAG Pro, press the power button twice and wait for the blue LED to start flashing
  • Hold your MyTAG Pro next to your mobile phone, and click “Next” on My HKG app

If your MyTAG Pro cannot pair with My HKG app, please switch off the MyTAG Pro and make sure it is fully charged. Then start from Step B again.


For MyTAG on HKairport Rewards
If you registered MyTAG before 16 Sep 2023, your tag has been linked with your HKairport Rewards account. Please follow these steps below to complete the one-time confirmation process on My HKG app before using:
  • Click “Me” on the bottom left of My HKG
  • Login to your Rewards account
  • Click the baggage tag icon on the top of My HKG ’s main page
  • The System will prompt you to confirm whether to use this account email address for MyTAG Service. You can also edit the email address if needed
  • Confirm the email address, then read and agree to Terms & Conditions
  • Confirmation process completed
You just need to login the account to continue using MyTAG after you complete this process. If you forget your HKairports Reward account, please click here to contact Rewards Customer Service Team.

After switching on your MyTAG Pro, press the power button once. The battery level will be shown as follows:

  • 70% or above: The green LED will be on for three seconds
  • 41% to 69%: The green LED will flash
  • 40% or below: The red LED will flash

You will be notified through the My HKG app when your flight is arrived at your destination airport*. If your destination airport is Hong Kong International Airport, you will receive additional notifications when your baggage is arriving soon and when it is ready for pick up. Make sure your MyTAG Pro is paired with the My HKG app and your phone is connected to the internet to get notifications.

To charge your MyTAG Pro, connect it to a USB Type C cable and plug it into a power source. The red LED light indicates it is charging, and the green LED indicates it is fully charged. Keep your MyTAG Pro powered up and ready to go.

Please make sure you entered a valid and correct e-mail address, and you may check the verification code message in the spam mail folder.
If you still did not receive verification code, please click the "Resend code" button.

For HKairport Rewards Member
Please login to your Rewards account, to continue using MyTAG.

For Non - HKairport Rewards Member
Please click “Reconnect Registered Tags” on your new device, then input your registered email address. This process may take a few minutes and you will see your tags on “MyTAG Center” page once completed. If you forget your e-mail address, you are unable to transfer.

Please follow the below steps below to report loss:

  • Click the baggage tag icon on the top of My HKG app’s main page
  • Select your tag you would like to report loss
  • Click “Report lost tag”
  • Confirm “Report as loss”

Once your tag has been reported lost, the tag is deactivated and you cannot receive any baggage arrival notification. It can be re-activated only by registering the tag again with the original e-mail address.
