There are more than 4,500 charging points installed in convenient locations throughout the passenger terminals, such as boarding gates and transfer areas, for passengers to charge their personal electronic devices.

The charging points come in several forms. To comply with Hong Kong’s statutory safety requirement, power sockets catering for three-rectangular-pin fused plug rated at 13 amperes (13A) are used. Passengers may bring along their own 13A three-rectangular-pin adaptor that complies with the safety requirement. USB ports are also available in all locations and passengers are reminded to bring their own cable connector. For mobile phones that are Qi-certified, wireless charging points are installed in boarding gates 33 and 34. More are being added to the other areas at the departures level.
