Airport Authority Appoints David Au Ho-cheung as Executive Director, Property Development.

(HONG KONG, 14 May 2015)  –  Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) today announced that it has appointed David Au Ho-cheung as Executive Director, Property Development, with effect from 18 May 2015. Reporting to the AA's Chief Executive Officer, Fred Lam, Mr Au will be a key member of the senior management team.

In his new role, Mr Au will oversee the AA’s long-term assets and design of its commercial facilities as well as land use and property services at the airport.

Mr Au has accumulated more than 30 years of management and project development experience with major architectural firm and developers in Hong Kong. He worked at Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd for more than 20 years, serving as Director of Sun Hung Kai Development (China) Ltd. and Project Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. Prior to that, he served as Senior Project Manager of Tai Cheung Holdings Ltd.

Commenting on Mr Au’s appointment, Mr Lam said, “I am delighted to have David join the Airport Authority. He brings invaluable professionalism and extensive experience in planning and managing large, complex development projects. I am confident that he will make a significant contribution to supporting the sustainable growth and development of the airport.”

Mr Au holds a Master degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Michigan. He is also a Registered Architect and an Authorized Person in Hong Kong with PRC Class 1 Registered Architect Qualification.
