Airport Authority Appoints Executive Director, Corporate Development
(HONG KONG, 23 April 2010) – Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) today announced the appointment of Wilson Fung Wing-yip as Executive Director, Corporate Development. Reporting to AA's Chief Executive Officer Stanley Hui Hon-chung, Mr Fung will be a key member of AA's senior management team.
In his new role, Mr Fung will spearhead and oversee development projects that are essential to the overall strategic direction of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). In addition to identifying HKIA's long-term infrastructure and facilities needs, Mr Fung will play a pivotal role in engaging various constituents and taking their views into consideration. Mr Fung will also ensure development projects are designed and built to meet growth demand.
Mr Fung brings with him over 20 years of experience spanning public administration, strategic planning, resource allocation, partnership development, international negotiations and engagement with multiple stakeholders. Upon graduation from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a focus on Government and Public Affairs, Mr Fung joined the Hong Kong SAR Government as an Administrative Officer in 1985. He worked in various bureaux/departments, including the Housing Department, the former Economic Development and Labour Bureau, and Home Affairs Bureau, before becoming Executive Director of the Hong Kong Productivity Council in 2006.
Commenting on the appointment, Chief Executive Officer Stanley Hui Hon-chung said: "I am pleased that Mr Fung is joining us at this important stage of HKIA's development.
