Project Engineer, APM (Ref: PROJ13-0063-W-01)

The Project Engineer is responsible for providing support to the Senior Engineer in Automated People Mover (APM) System works.  This involves ensuring that the works are designed, specified and built to achieve the required level of service as well as the specified standards of materials and workmanship; and that they are completed safely, on time and within budget to the satisfaction of the Project Owner.  His/her duties will include:

  • Provide technical assistance in design management and site supervision of the APM System works
  • Review the design and proposals from consultants/contractors to ensure compliance with sound engineering principles and required standards in terms of quality and safety
  • Co-ordinate design and construction interface issues and proactively resolve potential clashes
  • Provide technical support to site supervision teams including responding to request for information and preparing design change documents


  • Bachelor’s degree holder with professional qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or other related disciplines 
  • Member of HKIE or other equivalent professional bodies
  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience, of which minimum 4 years in project management role
  • Proven experience in the management of system integration project for railway/automated people mover systems design, planning, construction and site supervisory works
  • Solid knowledge and solid working experience on both E&M system design works
  • Experience in railway control systems is preferred
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.  Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and project management software tools
