Contract P267 – APM System Expansion and New APM Depot Design Consultancy Services (P267)
The Airport Authority Hong Kong (the “Authority”) is planning to expand the existing automated people mover (APM) system to meet future demand at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
This consultancy contract will initially include the investigation and development of the appropriate APM system expansion strategies and scheme design of the necessary APM system expansion works, modification of the existing APM depot in Terminal 2, additional APM maintenance and stabling facilities (the new APM depot) and associated civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical and systems works. This Contract also includes an option for the detailed design of the works. The construction of the works is planned to commence in 2015 and for completion by 2017. Quantity surveying services will be provided by others.
The Authority hereby invites tenders from design consultants with PROVEN EXPERIENCE and the CAPABILITY to provide design services for this project. Suitable consultants will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience and ability in designing airport APM systems, major underground structures, building modification works, building services, fire engineering strategies and airport systems.

Tenderers will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of HK$500 (in the form of a cashier order payable to “Airport Authority”) when collecting the tender documents and submit a tender bond in the amount of HK$150,000 with the tender.
Tenders for this Contract shall be submitted to the Authority not later than 14:30 (Hong Kong time) on 13 June 2013. The applicants will be informed of the arrangement for collecting the tender documents in writing.
All costs associated with any submission in response to this notice shall be entirely the responsibility of the applicant.
