Contract P266 – Midfield Phase 2 Development Design Consultancy Services

The Airport Authority Hong Kong (the “Authority”) is planning to construct ten additional remote aircraft parking stands to serve the new Midfield Concourse at Hong Kong International Airport.

This consultancy contract will initially include the scheme design of the ten additional stands, a cross field taxiway, airfield/apron systems, airside road works, ancillary buildings, extension of the automated people mover tunnel and associated utility services. This Contract also includes an option for the detailed design of the works. The construction of the works is planned to commence in 2015 and for completion by 2017. Quantity surveying services will be provided by others.    

The Authority hereby invites tenders from design consultants with PROVEN EXPERIENCE and the CAPABILITY to provide design services for this project.  Suitable consultants will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience and ability in designing similar airport and civil engineering works including airfield/apron systems.

Tenderers will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of HK$500 (in the form of a cashier order payable to “Airport Authority”) when collecting the tender documents and submit a tender bond in the amount of HK$150,000 with the tender.

Tenders for this Contract shall be submitted to the Authority not later than 14:30 (Hong Kong time) on 23 May 2013. The applicants will be informed of the arrangement for collecting the tender documents in writing. 

All costs associated with any submission in response to this notice shall be entirely the responsibility of the applicant.
