Prequalification Notice
Contract P503 – T1 North-West Concourse Airline Lounge and T6 Expansion Works

The Airport Authority Hong Kong (the “Authority”) is planning to construct a new airline lounge, relocate the existing T6 passenger transfer facility and expand an existing toilet at the Arrivals Level of Northwest Concourse to meet future demand at Hong Kong International Airport.

Contract P503 will include all structural modification, architectural, building services and systems works required for the construction of the new lounge space, passenger transfer facility and toilet complete with new lift and escalator access.

Invitations to tender for this contract are expected to be issued in February/March 2013. 

The Authority invites expressions of interest from organisations with PROVEN EXPERIENCE and the CAPABILITY to manage and construct the works.  Suitable contractors should be experienced in major building modification and fit-out works involving structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical works and will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience and ability in undertaking major projects in an operational environment.

Applicants who wish to express their interest in pre-qualifying to tender for the above contract should forward their name and address, together with the name, position and fax number of their contact person to Mr. Kevin Poole, Deputy Director, Projects, by fax to (852) 2188 1513 or by e-mail to AATender.PD2@hkairport.com.

Applicants may, upon presentation of a copy of the above-mentioned contact information, collect the Pre-Qualification Invitation Document from the Authority’s Projects Department on Level 2, HKIA Tower, 1 Sky Plaza Road, Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau, Hong Kong between 09:00 and 17:30 hours Monday to Friday.

The deadline for submission of the completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaire will be on 19th February 2013 at 14:30 noon (Hong Kong time).

The Authority will evaluate all applications using the information to be provided by the applicant in the completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and select the successful applicants at its sole discretion.

All costs associated with any submission in response to this notice shall be entirely the responsibility of the applicant.  The procurement of the above works is covered by the Agreement on Government Procurement of the World Trade Organisation.
