With the introduction of the one-stop check-in service, passenger travelling from mainland to the world can now fly via Hong Kong in a truly hassle-free way. Upon arrival at Shekou or Macau* port, they can obtain their boarding passes and check in their luggage, which will be directly transferred to their final destination. Passengers can also complete their application process for the pre-paid Hong Kong Airport Departure Tax Refund (APDT) at the port, and then get cash refund upon arrival at HKIA.
Criteria for check-in:
1. For passengers of participating airlines.^
2. Arrive at the check-in counter before it is closed. (i.e. 30 minutes before the ferry departure time)
3. Possess valid air ticket with confirmed booking of flight for travel within 24 hours of arrival of Hong Kong.
4. Has sufficient flight connecting time upon arrival in Hong Kong and intended onward destination.
5. Possess valid travel document and visa for intended destination / onward destination if required.
6. Possess valid ferry ticket.
* Trial in Macau has commenced on 15 June, 2007.
