The is responsible for the provision of rescue and fire fighting coverage for the Hong Kong International Airport. There are two airside fire stations at strategic locations of the airport platform, two sea rescue berths at the eastern and western end of the airport island, and one fire training pit. The Airport Fire Contingent is equipped with 14 fire appliances, two command boats (each having a total passenger capacity of 603) and eight speedboats. The landside fire station is located at the south commercial district of the airport island, providing fire fighting coverage for the landside. It has a four-bay room for fire fighting equipment and ambulances, as well as offices, barracks, exercise rooms and a drill yard.
