The purpose of the programme is to develop and nurture a pool of dynamic, professional and competent management talents to meet the future developments of HKIA. In the first two years, the Management Trainees will undergo an intensive development scheme incorporating classroom training, on-the-job training and personalised rotations to different businesses and functions.
Throughout the two years’ training, the trainees will be equipped with general airport management skills to assume further responsibilities at HKIA.
Upon completion of the programme, the trainees will have developed an understanding of:
- the operation of HKIA with exposure to different aspects of airport business from management of passenger and cargo flow, airfield operation, retailing and advertising to aviation logistics;
- the key drivers, management process and systems of diverse airport functions;
- the practical and analytical problem-solving techniques;
- the best practices in airport management.
