The AA earns ISO 14001 Certification

On 15 June 2018, Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Authority (AA), received the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification from Enoch Lee, General Manager Hong Kong of the British Standards Institution (BSI). It is a major milestone in moving Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) one step closer to achieving its Greenest Airport Pledge.
The AA's EMS covers all operations, systems and facilities under its direct control at HKIA. Implementation of the EMS commenced in August 2017 following a year of rigorous consultation with stakeholders and wrapped up with an external party audit by BSI in February 2018.
Going forward, the AA will continue to enhance its environmental performance through strengthening the EMS, with an increased focus on monitoring the environmental performance of the AA's supply chain.
